Teaching the Lord’s Prayer with it’s Spiritual Interpretation – Video

This video is a teaching tool that utilizes a puzzle in a fun way to teach children The Lord’s Prayer enhancing their natural ability to pray. If we desire health and happiness then let us pray. “Desire is prayer;” in fact, “Consistent prayer is the desire to do right.” (Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures 1: 11 & 9: 32) When “please” moves to “thank you” this advances the pleading prayer to a new dimension and we pray a prayer of affirmation. We can feel the difference. Gratitude is the advanced humility.

Can we go it alone to stay the course? Yes, but sometimes it feels like it’s not that easy to do. Traveling the foggy and unsure course for a length of time, we might feel lost. It’s important to stop and anchor our thought in prayer. With gratitude we are made aware of Love’s guidance, strength and healing. It’s okay to call upon someone to support this prayer along our journey to keep us steady. Prayerful support with unconditional Love is effective. A Christian Science Practitioner is there to help you. Let’s work together to demonstrate healing.

When we search honestly to understand what God, infinite Mind or divine Love, is, we start to recognize that our health and happiness naturally comes from God, our Creator. Then we begin to realize we are inseparable from these Godlike qualities. Right there in the mist of a foggy day we are able to discern if our thoughts are human or divine. Filled with gratitude we are able to recognize the difference . Gratitude opens our thought to question our motives and actions. It leads us to possibilities that might have laid dormant until humbly turning to a power beyond our own – turning to the power of God as our only Mind, our only Love. The results are a humble prayer taking effect in a moment of movement in divine Love’s direction. I like to call it “Love’sway”.

The following is The Lord’s Prayer given to the world by Christ Jesus. (Matthew 6: 9-13 KJV)

You’ll find a spiritual interpretation following each line, helping you feel the presence of the Divine Comforter, Love. (Eddy, S&H p.16-17)

Let us pray…

Our Father which art in heaven,

– “Our Father-Mother God, all-harmonious,”

Hallowed be Thy name.

– “Adorable One.”

Thy kingdom come.

– “Thy kingdom is come; Thou art ever-present.”

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

– “Enable us to know, — as in heaven, so on earth, — God is omnipotent, supreme.”

Give us this day our daily bread;

– “Give us grace for to-day; feed the famished affections;”

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

– “And Love is reflected in love;”

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil;

– “And God leads us not into temptation, but delivers us from sin, disease, and death.”

For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.

– “For God is infinite, all-power, all Life, Truth, Love, over all, and All.”

Amen.

Love heals us. Marsha

      Wonderful to hear from you, Andrea.
      It’s so important to teach our children The Lord’s Prayer. But, Mary Baker Eddy also saw the importance of teaching it’s spiritual interpretation.
      Hopefully this video/activity will help so no one is intimidated to teach and/or memorize and learn
      it by heart.
      Blessings to you and your family, Marsha
