Hi, this is Marsha from Loveheals.us
Come study the platform with me from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy in the chapter called Science of Being, page 330. We’ll take one part of the platform each day for the next 32 days. We’ll read the words Mrs. Eddy has given us. Then, I’ll share with you some ideas that have come to me and then you get to share your ideas in the blog online in the comment area below.
If you know anyone who might like to participate in this exercise, please forward this to them to have them subscribe to my website.
If you miss some, you can catch up by going to the menu at the top
called “Study the Platform“.
IX. (Divine Trinity/The Son of God) Jesus was born of Mary. Christ is the true idea voicing good, the divine message from God to men speaking to the human consciousness. The Christ is incorporeal, spiritual, — yea, the divine image and likeness, dispelling the illusions of the senses; the Way, the Truth, and the Life, healing the sick and casting out evils, destroying sin, disease, and death. As Paul says: “There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” The corporeal man Jesus was human. S&H 332: 9
Marsha: It is a Divine Trinity where Christ Jesus is not God, but the Son of God. Cobbey Crisler helps us get rid of some confusion in the Bible because you can’t have sons of God and have one son being the only begotten. That would be confusion! So let’s go to the “inspired” Word and realize that the Greek word “mono genes” doesn’t mean “only begotten.” If it has any meaning that we can express in English, it would be “unique,” in the sense that Christ Jesus was representing the original man as a model. In other words, the only real man that God could ever beget or get or bring about”(Cobbey Crisler John 1: 14)
Just as Jesus was imbued with the spirit of Christ, let’s remember that you and I are also imbued with the spirit of Christ, for we are the sons and daughters of God.
And man is the compound idea of God. A friend recently pointed out that we reflect both the male and female qualities which represent all qualities of the Divine. Sometimes I think we can compartmentalize our being and yet Divinely manifested, complete in wholeness and reflection is what we are. The Divine image and likeness.
I am grateful that you have provided clarity on this. So very interesting to think about.
I love the way the Bible Lessons have included a portion of or idea from each of the sections of the platform for the week ever since this study started. It expands the study so appropriately, as the divine Word speaking to human consciousness throughout this week’s lesson.
Thats’s so comforting to know that we are ALL the sons and daughters of God
