Study the Platform XXIII of XXXII

Hi, this is Marsha from Loveheals.us
Come study the platform with me from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy in the chapter called Science of Being, page 330. We’ll take one part of the platform each week for the next 32 weeks. We’ll read the words Mrs. Eddy has given us. Then, I’ll share with you some ideas that have come to me and then you get to share your ideas in the blog online in the comment area below.
If you know anyone who might like to participate in this exercise, please forward this to them to have them subscribe to my website.
If you miss some, you can catch up by going to the menu at the top
called “Study the Platform“.

XXIII. (Indivisibility of the infinite) God is indivisible. A portion of God could not enter man; neither could God’s fulness be reflected by a single man, else God would be manifestly finite, lose the deific character, and become less than God. Allness is the measure of the infinite, and nothing less can express God.  S&H 336: 19

Marsha: I love that idea that “Allness is the measure of the infinite, and nothing less can express God”!! To learn more about God’s allness, Christian Science includes seven synonyms for God as we have read in prior platforms and so we as God’s expression reflect the qualities of all seven synonyms, Principle, Mind, Soul, Spirit, Life, Truth, Love, whether we realize it or not.  But we sometimes think that we can express the love of Love, but Principle governing me just doesn’t happen – I’m not very willing to let something else be in charge of me. Or we can understand that God is Truth, but wonder how could Mind be my consciousness? Or we want to have ageless youth and express Spirit, but we feel  anxiety when thinking of the future of our Life.  Let’s not be so hard on ourselves and know that just like you look in a mirror and expect to see every part of yourself reflected in the image and not have anything left out, so we can expect to see our expression of God as His complete image and likeness.  So let’s not worry, but have an expectation of each one of us as the unique expression of our Creator.

  1. I have loved the way the part of the platform that we concentrate on each week fits perfectly with and enhances the study of the week’s Bible Lesson. The indivisible goodness of God is reflected in the goodness of the entire creation.
