We’ll take one part of the platform each day for the next 32 days. We’ll read the words Mrs. Eddy has given us. Then, I’ll share with you some ideas that have come to me and then you get to share your ideas in the blog online in the comment area below.

XI. (Christ Jesus) Jesus was the son of a virgin. He was appointed to speak God’s word and to appear to mortals in such a form of humanity as they could understand as well as perceive. Mary’s conception of him was spiritual, for only purity could reflect Truth and Love, which were plainly incarnate in the good and pure Christ Jesus. He expressed the highest type of divinity, which a fleshly form could express in that age. Into the real and ideal man the fleshly element cannot enter. Thus it is that Christ illustrates the coincidence, or spiritual agreement, between God and man in His image. S&H 332: 22
Marsha: We have been learning in the Platform that Mind, God, Spirit is not in matter, so God is incapable of being in a material form. Jesus expressed the highest type of divinity, but he needed to speak to mankind where they could perceive and understand the Word of God so he taught in parables and in actions of loving and healing others. What was the power behind his teaching, preaching and healing? The Christ power of Truth and Love over error is what awakened mankind to the presence of efficacious love lived which proved the Science of Christ to be demonstrable then and in all times. Christian Scientists believe in the virgin birth as other Christians do.
Thanks, Marsha, for your deep insight, and sharing these spiritual observations. Understanding the amazing connection Jesus had with the spiritual and the physical, is so powerful in appreciating God’s presence on earth.
I once heard that coincidence is Gods way of remaining anonymous , with every unexplainable gift or seeming coincidence Christ Spirit is in the midst ✨????
