Hope – video

Come join me on this video blog entitled “Hope”.  It takes place on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Hope isn’t a 50-50 chance.  It’s something much more than that.

“As a drop of water is one with the ocean, a ray of light one with the sun, even so God and man, Father and son, are one in being. The Scripture reads: For in Him we live, and move, and have our being.”   Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures 361: 16 (with reference to KJV Acts 17: 28), Mary Baker Eddy.

This speaks of hope based on a sure foundation, “…which is the Christ in you, the hope of glory,” from Paul’s words to the Colossians.(KJV Col 1: 27)

The following words from a hymn paint the picture of the spiritual foundation of hope in our lives:

O Light, in Thy light we can see
That man is ever one with Thee.
In love our lives Thou dost enfold,
And now our waiting hopes behold
That man is God’s own child.  Hymn 232 of the Christian Science Hymnal

The Liverpool Football Club has claimed the song “You’ll never walk alone” as their anthem, which is sung by the fans before their soccer matches.  In a stream of voices, as many as 95,000 sing with enthusiasm, conviction and an expectation of victory, and make their song contagiously inspirational.  Here are the lyrics:

You’ll Never Walk Alone

When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high,
And don’t be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm is a golden sky and the sweet, silver song of a lark.
Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
You’ll never walk alone.

We are at one with Love and Love heals us.

It’s great to hear from you, Sally. Thank you for your comment!
I hope to continue to give fresh spiritual perspectives that will give inspiration as you describe it.
When inspiration resonates within us it can’t help but have an effect throughout our whole experience –
in our health and happiness and so in our relationships. This light can’t be stopped from continuing to go out
into communities and our whole world waking us to “the hope of glory” which is honor, beauty and magnificence.
